Today is Bijaya Dashami. A day filled with mixed emotions- happiness and sadness that Durga Pujo has come to an end. Celebrate with this popular, traditional sweet and remember, Asche Bocchor Abar Hobbe.
INGREDIENTS:
1. Vermicelli - 1/2 cup
2. Khowa (Mawa) - 50 g
3. Ghee - 1 tbsp
4. Sugar - 1/2 cup
5. Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
6. Cashew nuts - 20 g
7. Raisins - 1 tbsp
8. Cashew and Raisins extra for garnish
METHOD:
1. First chop nuts into small pieces and keep it a side .
2. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan add Vermicelli and saute well for about few minutes on high flame.
3. Roast the vermicelli a little and transfer it into a plate keep it a side .
4. Then boil milk in a pan , stir it and let it cook for about 7 to 8 minutes add roasted the vermicelli , khowa and cardamom powder and stir everything well and cook it for about 5 to 6 minutes.
5. Next add sugar , cashews chopped and raisins stir well and cook it for 5 minutes .
6. Let it rest and come to room temperature.
7. Garnish with chopped cashews and raisins.
TIPS: Serve hot or cold , as your choice .
