Nowadays, fancy plated deconstructed desserts have become famous. I see deconstructed desserts as nothing but the original gone wrong and hence, the different components broken down in the plating process. But to keep up with the trend, here's my Deconstructed Black Forest (read my 10 minutes experiment to whip up a delicious dessert for my best friend). I had Oreo Cookies, tinned cherries and whipping cream only at home and I came up with this quick, yet tasty dessert. Try it out, looks absolutely stunning and tastes even better!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 packet Oreo Cookies
- Whipping Cream
- Cherries
METHOD:
- Place the cream in a large bowl and whip using an electric beater until hard peaks appear. Keep it aside till ready to use.
- On a chopping board, take out the seeds from the cherries. Chop the cherries and keep aside.
- Put the Oreo cookies into a zip lock back. Taking a rolling pin, make crumbs.
- Now take little bowls or shot glasses, using a spoon place a layer or Oreo crumbs on the bottom.
- Over the crumbs, place the chopped cherries. Remember each layer should look well defined. Do not allow them to blend.
- Next, put the whipping cream into a pipping bag and make swirls over the cherries. You may also use ice cream spoons to scoop the whipping cream and place it over the layer of cherries.
- Place a cherry on top! And it is ready.
TIPS: The quantity of each ingredient should be such that you have enough to make pre-defined layers. Also, serve immediately. Otherwise place it in the refrigerator till the time of serving.
