- 1 cup Soya Granules
- Burger Buns
- 2 cups Warm Water
- 2 tsp Oil
- 2 Onions, chopped
- 2 Green Chilies, chopped
- 4 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Mustard Paste
- Salt, to taste
- 2 Potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 4 tbsp Saffola Masala Oats
- 2 tsp Burger Mayonnaise ( 1 tsp Mayo + 1 tsp Tomato Ketchup)
- 1 Tomato, sliced
- 1 Onion, sliced thinly
METHOD:
- Soak the soya granules in warm water for 20-30 minutes. Drain the excess water and let it dry.
- In a pan, heat two tsp oil and add in the chopped onions and green chilies . Saute till the onions are translucent.
- Add in the soya granules, tomato ketchup, mustard paste and salt, and cook it till the mixture is a bit dry.
- Remove the Soya mix from heat and transfer it in a bowl. Let it cool for a while.
- Now add the boiled and mashed potatoes in the Soya mixture and make a dough from it.
- Shape the dough into patties. The size of the patties depends on the size of the burger buns.
- After the patties are shaped, allow them to set in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
- In the meanwhile, dry roast some Masala Oats on a skillet.
- Take out the Soya patties from the refrigerator and cover it with the crushed Masala Oats.
- Heat two tsp Oil in a flat griddle plate and shallow fry the patties in it. Cook till both the sides turn golden brown in color.
- After the patties are cooked, start assembling the burger. Roast the burger buns on a Tawa.
- Use the same Tawa to grill the sliced onions and tomatoes.
- Apply the burger mayonnaise to the lower base of the burger bun.
- On top of it, place the soya patty, onion rings, sliced tomato and put the top half of the burger bun on it.
TIPS: Secure it in place with a toothpick.
