Smoothies is a great, healthy and filling way to start off the day for all the health conscious people! The recipe uses Flax seed, you may or may not use it. You get them every where and I would highly recommend you to use it. Buy the flax seed , dry roast it them and then powder it and store. It is great for digestion problems. You can simply add 1 tsp of flax seed powder with a glass of water and drink it.
It takes less than 5 minutes to make, so try it out first thing tomorrow morning!
INGREDIENTS:
1. 1 cup plain white curd ( I prefer using the Mother Dairy curd that comes in big containers since that isn't too sour or even homemade is good but avoid full cream milk)
2. Half a beetroot
3. Strawberries -5 to 6
4. Flax seed powder - 1 tsp
5. Oats- lightly dry roasted – A handful
6. Sugar free- Half tsp ( for moderate sweetness)
7. Half a banana
8. Almonds-4
9. Frozen blueberries or raspberries (Optional)
METHOD:
Simple- Just put all of this in a blender or mixer or smoothie maker. One the mixture is of a smooth consistency, pour it in a glass and serve.
TIPS: An important health tip for all our health conscious readers- Never have more than 4-6 almonds a day.
