Virgin Mojito is by far my favorite drink- both as a mocktail and cocktail. The mint and lemon renders it freshness and it is perfect for summers. It can be served at house parties and it is really simple to make! For those who have attained the legal alcohol drinking age, can add in white rum and make the drink even better! For all the calorie conscious people out there, simply use sugar free.
INGREDIENTS:
1. A handful of mint leaves- about 20 to 30 leaves
2. 2 lemons
3. 2 tbsp sugar (I used simple granulated sugar, you may use sugar syrup)
4. 400 ml chilled sprite (You can use soda, but double the amount of sugar in that case. Similarly you may use sparkling water or ginger ale or mountain dew or 7 up)
METHOD:
1. Crush the mint leaves. In a tall glass add the crushed mint leaves, lime juice and sugar and mix well.
2. Add ice cubes (if you want). Shake the ingredients well.
3. Add the sprite or soda or sparkling water or ginger ale or 7up or mountain dew.
4. Decorate with mint leaves and sliced lemon and serve!
TIPS: Add a handful of crushed ice cubes into the each glass and serve the virgin mojito chilled!
