I'm a student and an amateur home baker. I started a small dessert company, Confectioner's Touch, about two years ago and with a lot of support and encouragement from friends and family, it has gained some amount of recognition. I specialize in baked desserts and most of my desserts are made-to-order. Even though I don't have any professional training, I would love to share some interesting and helpful tips on dessert decorating in general.
I have been a baker since I was 14. I started my own company called "Hungry&Skinny" (named after me, since I'm ridiculously skinny and always eating!) my shot to fame was the USP of my company. At H&S, we're strongly against having a menu. I feel it hampers my ability to learn and expand my skill set. And we literally turn anything anyone wants into a cupcake! I can kill/die for French fries. Yes that would be my intro, I can dedicate my entire life to stuffing my mouth with fries, but I guess it’s not going to work that way. I simply enjoy cooking ,no specific cuisine or type in particular, I try out everything I come across. Since staying fit is such a big deal today I try to make a healthier version of everything I love and it tastes equally good. For example desserts comprising of more fresh fruits, replacing rice with cauliflower rice (granulated cauliflower) or pasta with zucchini noodles (zoodles), milkshakes with smoothies. No, nothing can ever replace French fries but it's worth the shot.
