A healthy substitute to your regular potato tikkas, soya cutlets are rich in protein and make a delicious nutritious snack! Great snack to make for your kids or carry in your tiffin box for a quick snack during school or office! These have been fried in oil, but if you want a more healthy version, brush a bit of olive oil and pop them in the oven till they are completely cooked through. If you have an air fryer at home, even better! Try these yummy, nutritious appetizers!
INGREDIENTS:
1. Soya bean- 50 g (Boiled and mashed)
2. Potato- 1 (boiled and mashed)
3. 1 tbsp chaat masala
4. 1 tsp red chili powder
5. 1 tsp black pepper powder
6. 1 tbsp corn flour
7. 4 tbsp flour
8. 1 cup bread crumbs
9. ½ cup milk
10. 1 cup refined oil for deep frying
11. Salt to taste
METHOD:
1. Mix the all ingredients (but not the bread crumbs, milk, refined oil and 1 tbsp flour) in a bowl and mix it very well.
2. Take a handful of mixture in your palms and shape it like a circle or cutlet and soak each cutlet in milk for a second, take it out and cover it with flour and then coat it evenly with bread crumbs. Repeat the same for the remaining cutlets.
3. Deep fry the cutlets till golden brown in colour.
4. Serve hot.
TIPS: Serve it with ketchup or Green Chutney.
