Hashbrowns are really easy and amazing to have as breakfast. It doesn't take much time and serves up a nice, heavy meal to start your day.
INGREDIENTS:
1. Potatoes, number depending on the number of people or the size of potatoes. 1 large is enough to make two Hashbrowns.
2. Salt and pepper.
3. Butter/ olive oil.
4. Eggs.
METHOD:
1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Grate them into thin strips.
2. Whisk egg in a medium bowl and add the grated potatoes along with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Melt butter in a pan, or heat oil. Take a small lump of the potato-egg batter and place it on the pan. Flatten it down with the spatula and cook it till both sides are golden brown.
4. Serve with sausages or baked beans or toast.
Tips:
1. You can add herbs and other seasonings while mixing the potato with the egg.
2. Cheese can be grated and added as well.
