Tired of the same old creamy sauce pasta? Well try out a chinese variant to add a little zing to this Italian dish.
Serves : 2 to 3 (can increase depending on how much pasta you use)
Ingredients:
1. Spiral pasta (100 to 200 gms)
2. Onions (2)
3. Bell peppers (any color)
4. Corn kernels
5. Spring onions
6. Garlic
7. Soy sauce
8. Hot and sweet sauce
9. Salt and pepper
Method:
1. Finely cut all the veggies above and keep them aside
2. In a large container, fill about 2 litres of water, add salt and oil. When the water is at a good boiling point, add the pasta and cook till al dente (cooked but still with a slight bite to it) ideally the pasta should take 7 to 8 mins to be al dente if store bought.
3. Once pasta is boiled, drain out the water and leave aside to cool.
4. Add some oil in a wok or a non stick pan, add the onions and garlic when the oil is hot. Add a little salt and let the onions and garlic cook.
5. Once the have turned light brown, add the other veggies.
6. Add 1 and a half tea spoons of soy sauce and 3 tea spoons of hot and sweet sauce.
7. Season with salt and pepper
8. Mix well and let the veggies cook in the sauce.
9. Once the veggies are cooked, add in the pasta and mix the veggies with the pasta well. (Add extra sauce if needed)
10. Serve hot garnished with spring onions
