Cooking Time: 20 minutes
I love Italian and my favorite Italian dish is, hands down, PIZZAS! I love so many types of pizzas one of my favorites is Spicy Chicken Pizza. The first time I had Spicy Chicken Pizza was at Domino’s and inspired by it, I invented this recipe and tried to make it look exactly like Domino’s (I even sliced the boneless chicken into cubes, a signature of Domino’s.) It is really spicy so if you can’t handle spice, try out my other pizza recipes or lower the spice content in this, to suit your taste. Pizzas are really easy to make. Making a pizza base from scratch takes patience and precision, but if you buy fresh pizza bread from the bakery, making pizza can’t get easier! Bon appetite!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pizza base (I used an 8 inch one)
- 2 tbsp pizza sauce (Bottled one or follow my recipe here: )
- 1 boneless chicken breast (skinless)
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, chopped and crushed
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 4 red chilies chopped (you can use green chilies as well)
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese grated
- ½ cup gouda cheese grated
- ½ tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp black pepper, grounded
- ½ tsp oregano
- 1 tsp olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius.
- Cut the boneless chicken breast into cubes and marinate it with garlic, chilies, olive oil, salt, red chili powder and black pepper. Set aside and prepare the pizza base.
- For the pizza base, spread pizza sauce evenly and grate mozzarella cheese and cover the entire base.
- In a pan, heat up and put about 1 tbsp of olive oil and cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes till cooked.
- Evenly place the chicken over the prepared pizza base and grate a generous amount of gouda cheese over it.
- Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or till golden brown.
- Sprinkle oregano and other herbs of your choice and serve hot.
Tips: My vegetarian friends out there, you can substitute chicken with mushrooms and make a delectable SPICY MUSHROOM PIZZA.
Serve the pizza with a pitcher of cold soft drinks or mojito and enjoy!
