I came across this dish while searching for new Prawn recipes to try out and I immediately thought I should cook this. The experiment was successful- the beautiful buttery garlic prawns just melted in my mouth. The best thing about this dish is that it requires very few ingredients which are always available at home and it takes very little time to prepare and cook. It is really easy to cook as well. Calorie conscious people may replace butter with extra-virgin olive oil but it won’t taste as good as BUTTER Garlic Prawns, you’ll have your regular tasty Garlic Prawns. You must try it out!
INGREDIENTS:
1.500 g Prawns, cleaned and shelled
2.100g Butter
3.25 Garlic cloves, finely chopped and smashed gently
4.1 lime juice (Sliced into two halves)
5.2 tbsp black pepper powder
6.1 stalk of coriander leaves, finely chopped
7.Salt to taste
METHOD:
1.Heat a pan and place butter on it. Once the butter melts completely, add the chopped garlic and sauté.
2.Add the Prawns and fry it with the beautiful butter garlic mixture.
3.Add the black pepper and fry till the prawns are cooked through.
4.Once the prawns are cooked, add the chopped coriander leaves and mix everything well for 30-45 seconds.
5.Take off the heat. Place the prawns on a plate and squeeze half of the lime. Cut the remaining half lime into slices and place over the prawns and decorate.
TIPS: For better taste, I usually marinate my Prawns overnight- simply with some lime juice and ginger-garlic paste.
