SOUR CREAM DIP
This is the simplest Sour Cream recipe I use. This is inspired by Tarla Dalal and you can make variations with herbs to make your very own version!
INGREDIENTS:
1. 200 gms fresh cream
2. 1 to 2 tbsp thick yogurt
3. 2 pinches of salt
METHOD:
1. Beat the cream until thick.
2. Add the curds and salt and mix well
TIPS: Use this as a base to make Sour Cream and Onion dip or a Creamy Cheese dip.

TOMATO SALSA
Fresh tomato salsa also known as Pico de Gallo or Salsa Fresca is one of the most common dips served at any Mexican restaurant. This is really easy to make as it involves combining all the ingredients together. The ingredients are almost always available at home and it is so light and fresh! It takes less than 10 minutes to make so enjoy this dip with your Mexican dishes!
INGREDIENTS:
1. 2 medium sized tomatoes, skinned and deseeded, finely chopped into squares
2. 1-2 green chilies finely chopped
3. 1 small onion finely chopped
4. 2-3 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
5. 3-4 tbsp finely chopped green capsisum
6. Lemon juice, to taste
7. ½ tsp black pepper powder
8. ½ tsp oregano powder
9. Salt to taste
METHOD:
Combine all the ingredients- tomatoes, chilies, onions, capsicum and coriander- in a bowl and combine well. Add pepper, oregano and salt to taste and mix well. Add the lemon juice and adjust it according to your taste. (I used half a small lemon) Serve to a small serving bowl.
TIPS: Use this dip alongside with Cheese Corn Poppers, nachos, burritos, tacos and tortilla wraps!
